The step by step procedure on how to set up is explained below.

Create a Producer(Application) with the File system Protocol

We can check the “Application – FileSytem” Article on how to create a producer/Application with the File system protocol.

Create a Consumer(application) with the S FTP Protocol:

We can go to the Article “Trading Partner – S FTP” to know how to create an application using the S FTP protocol.

Build Data Flow:

Once the trading partner and application are created, go to Data Flows -> Build Data Flow. Now, select the created trading partner and application and click Setup Workflow.

Click on update  button to update  the workflow.

Rules: Rules are processes we are used to apply on document .We have  rules already available in PCM.

Select the required rule as per the work flow for file processing and then Click on -> Add to
apply the rule.
Select Remove to remove any unwanted rule from the work flow.
Move Up and Move Down can be used to change the location of the rule in the Work flow.
Rule Properties can be seen by Properties option.

Enter the properties of the rule and click on save properties.

We can add the rules which we want to apply the on the document.

Adding a Drop Process to drop the translated file.

Procedure:

Click on -> Add

Select the Protocol as per the Trading Partner and Application specified
Select the Protocol Preference ( If its Inbound Transaction it will be Application where
the files are dropped , it will be Trading Partner if its Outbound Transaction).
